Private Viewing of the Fairtrade Photo Exhibition and an Illustrated Talk, “Fairtrade in Ghana”, by Arton Medd was held in the Sanctuary at Lancaster Library on Thursday evening 29th January 2015.

The Mayor of Lancaster, Councillor Susie Charles, joined members of Lancaster, Morecambe & District Fairtrade Group and other guests at a Private Viewing of the Fairtrade Photo Exhibition while it was in Lancaster Library.  Arton Medd, secretary of both the Fairtrade group and also Blackburn Diocese’s World Development group, gave an illustrate talk about his recent tour of Fairtrade producers and projects in Ghana. This included a visit to Kuapa KoKoo, a farmers’ coop, trading its own cocoa which is used in Divine Chocolate, in which the workers now own 45% of the shares.
